Scraps

I wish I could travel the world taking photos and making scrapbooks, just like Peter Beard and Tim Walker.

The last couple of shots are from Tim Walker's book, Pictures, he's by far one of my favourite fashion photographers, I rarely buy Vogue unless he's done a shoot for them.

Sandra Freij

Oh the colours, the COLOURS...

[Found here ]

An addiction to hands and feet.

Regina Spektor's new album Far is out next month...here's one of her new tracks Dance Anthem of the 80s (it's all about 2min 3 secs onwards). I love her, Frida brows 'n all.

If you're a fan, I recommend youtubing her other newbies, Blue Lips and Laughing with.

Alex Monroe

Forget about Tiffany's, I'd much rather have a piece of Alex Monroe any day. Established in 1986, he uses nature to inspire his whimsical, timeless, inherently English jewellery. I particularly love the humming bird...

S.Darko

S. Darko, the sequel to Donnie Darko, follows Donnie's younger sister Samantha and her friend Corey. On their way to California their car breaks down, forcing them to wait in a small town until it's fixed. Samantha begins to have dreams that warn her of the end of the universe....etc etc...Yawn, seen it all before. With bad CGI and alien invasion - the only things that kept me entertained were the synthy soundtrack, Daveigh Chase's wardrobe and Ed Westwick in a rolled up shirt.

The Ones We Love

Created in 2008, 'The Ones We Love is a project highlighting young and talented photographers from around the world. Each artist contributed six photographs of the person(s) who is most important to them, taken outdoors in a natural setting. The goal of the website is to portray the people who are loved, cherished, and inspirational to these artists, and also showcase the differences and similarities in the photographs each of them took within the same guidelines.'

It was on this website that I first stumbled across Lina Schenius, her use of light is always stunning.

Lonely Birthday

[Lonely Birthday, Unknown Photographer, Vogue Korea, June 2008]

The last couple of shots really remind me of the Lisbon sisters in The Virgin Suicides, peering out of the windows of their dilapidated house...

'We knew the girls were really women in disguise, that they understood love, and even death, and that our job was merely to create the noise that seemed to fascinate them.'
